I’m a little loopy. How loopy? I just ordered a steak at Denny’s.

Pl us I get to wake up at 4 am to drive back to the office. But at least I have a way-too-big hotel room waiting for me. Which bed should I sleep in, the left or the right?

Better than powdered eggs, but I probably would’ve gone for chocolate chip pancakes myself.

I go with bed farthest from the window because if it has a through wall a/c  its probably moldy and gross.

I was about to mock you, and then I remembered the time I ordered a steak at Waffle House.

Wash it down with one of their milkshakes, and it’s all good.

This steak is shockingly good. I should add that this is a brand new Denny's that has to be the nicest I've ever been to.

Denny’s won since it met my strict criteria of being within a block of my hotel.

I’m in Grand Junction, which never had a Sizzler but did have a Western Sizzlin when we lived here in the 80s. I miss them too.

I always sleep in the bed further from the window as it’s a bit quieter and the heat/ac doesn’t blow directly on you.

And yes who needs 6 god damn pillows per bed. This ain’t a coed pillow fight film shot.

This. I take the position that ordering anything that isn’t pancakes at Denny’s is probably a mistake. And when there are chocolate chip pancakes on a menu, always order those.
